To speed things up, include your iPhone model, your iOS version and what you were doing when the problem happened.
iOS refreshes widgets on its own schedule. The count changes at midnight. If a widget lags behind, open the app once and it reschedules the display.
Every shape is its own entry in the iOS gallery. Long-press an empty spot on the Home Screen, then Edit, Add Widget, and search for Countdown VI. For the Lock Screen, long-press the Lock Screen, then Customize.
Check that notifications are allowed in Settings, Countdown VI. A test button sits in the app, under Check: it sends one within ten seconds.
